Following the conversation in #1905 (comment), opting to use the same options for both the browser and CJS module. I've also made some small adjustments to the options to reduce the bundle sizes without significant impacting the ability to debug errors.
I may look into this more later, particularly to see if we should enable source maps, for now, we can leave it at this.
