questions about recording stuff

i want to know if its possible to record alsa directly, it is possible with ffmpeg, but i can't find a way to make it work in wf-recorder
also want to ask if its possible to record only a specific window or desktop
i understand that i might depend on the implementation like sway

For alsa, there is a slightly outdated branch called alsa-support.

For recording specific window or desktop, no, that is not possible.
